How to Install dump software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

dump software package provides 4.4bsd dump and restore for ext2 filesystems, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install dump

dump is installed in your system.

Make ensure the dump package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dump *

You will get with dump package name, version, architecture and description in a table
